    Dear Future Self, Please tell me that we get through this – this messy, sticky, sleep-deprived, ordinary chaos. Tell me that someday, I will drink coffee again for pleasure, not survival. Reassure me that I will go to bed someday at 10 pm and not wake up until my alarm goes off in the morning. Prove to me that my patience during the terrible twos was worth it in the end.     Forty Days and Forty Nights: The End of Lent and Living Without TV

    Another Lent season is under our belts, folks. For those of you just jumping in, our family decided to give up TV (including movies, Netflix, etc…) for the forty days of Lent. I am here to say that we have survived. In some ways, living without TV was easier than expected. The benefits were staggering. And in other ways, living without it was extremely difficult and eye-opening. The first week was probably the hardest.
